This web site was the result of the spontaneous initiative of a
group of participants in political discussions in Bulgarian cyberspace.
It was built in support of the draft resolution on the international
condemnation of communism, sponsored by Rene van der Linden at the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe - to inform about
the draft, to solicit support for it and to collect favorable opinions
on its pages. Another purpose of the site is, as time permits, to
display information on the crimes of communist regimes, mostly from
existing web sites containing documents and testimonies about the
decades of communist rule in many countries of the world.
The site would not be possible without the voluntary
collective work of people with different political opinions but
all convinced of the need for awareness and memory of the communist
